If you’re visiting Boone or Blowing Rock, there are a lot of options—but not all of them are worth your time. These are the restaurants locals and repeat visitors keep going back to. Whether you’re looking for a great date night spot, something casual after a hike, or a memorable meal during your trip, this list will point you in the right direction.
Restaurants
1. The Local & The Social
These are owned by the same group, and both are consistently great. The Local is a longtime favorite, and The Social is their newer spot with an amazing bar and really fun atmosphere. You honestly can’t go wrong with either—great food, reliable, and always a good vibe.
2. Dan’l Boone Inn (Boone)
A true Boone staple. This is classic country cooking served family-style, and it’s a must if you’re visiting—especially with family. It’s the kind of place people come back to year after year.
3. Lost Province Brewing Co. (Boone)
Great pizza, great beer, and a fun atmosphere. Friday nights here are especially lively with live music and a great crowd. Perfect for a casual night out.
4. Crestwood Inn Restaurant
Just a stunning charming restaurant. This is more of a special occasion spot, but absolutely worth it. Romantic, beautiful setting, and a really memorable dining experience. Mountain View’s, patio when it’s nice and beautiful fireplace inside for your fine dining experience.
5. The Gamekeeper
Another great option for a special night out. Known for its wild game dishes and tucked-away setting, it feels like a true experience, not just dinner. You won’t find this anywhere else!

If you’re planning your trip around these spots, where you stay really makes a difference—especially after a long day of hiking, exploring, or eating your way through town.
Having somewhere peaceful to come back to—especially near the water—can completely change the experience.
Our favorite Place to Stay

One of the things guests love most is being able to come back, relax by the creek, and actually unwind after a full day out. It’s quiet, private, and still just a short drive to everything in Boone and Blowing Rock.
• Private creekside setting
• Cozy and peaceful atmosphere
• Close to restaurants, hikes, and downtown
